Faceting Classes

It's Happening!

It's finally official!  We are thrilled to announce that we are partnering with the Livingston Gem and Mineral Society to offer beginner faceting classes here in central Michigan.

Classes will be held Thursday evenings starting at 6pm.

The Livingston Gem and Mineral Society is a non-profit organization and member of the Midwest Federation of Mineralogical Societies. Their purpose is to promote, through educational means, public interest and increased knowledge in the fields of mineralogy, archaeology, paleontology, and the lapidary arts.

Membership in the LGMS is required for attendance.  More information about the LGMS and membership information can be found on their website: https://livingstongems.com/

The LGMS meets at:

9525 E. Highland Rd.
Howell, MI 48843-9098

No experience is necessary.  Just have an excitement to learn and a willingness to try to new things.

A limited number of machines are available and space will fill up fast. So, please, if you are interested in attending reach out to the LGMS and tell them you would like to attend the evening faceting classes.  They will assist you in joining.

Students are encouraged to bring their own machines if they would like.  It's always best to learn on the machine you will be using.

Classes will begin very soon!
